When I was 8, I wanted the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. When I turned 14, any Lamborghini would have done. Set out on the wholly redesigned 2009 BMW Z4. It may not be my transparent pipedream car, but it comes as neck as any richness-priced present-day roadster can. my new car..BMW Z4,3series convertible,X5,Audi tt(old shape) or Mini cooper s convertible?

im 19 and ive been driving for over a year and i want a new sports car.at the moment i have a mini one but i want some thing faster and sportier. i love the Z4 but i dont think its practical as i go out alot with my mates. my budget is £15,000 max.room for 4 people.

All of the cars you quote are great, though at 19 yrs old, you may struggle to find an insurance company that will cover you for a price that's less than eye watering.

Personally, I'd avoid convertibles - they're just a bit too gay. The X5 isn't a sports car and is horrendously expensive to run. Resale values are dropping like a stone on these. The Audi TT old shape is better value now that the new shape has been released, though a Friend of mine had no end of trouble with his 4 yrd old model (serious engine problems). So I think the Z4 has to take top of the list for me.

I'd recommend that you also consider an MX5 or Lotus Elise for a more genuine sports car experience. The Elise is a fantastic car a real head turner, with performance and handling that will kick the ass of many more expensive cars. You can pick up good Second hand examples - 4 yrs old for less than 15k nowadays.

Is BMW Z4 a girly car???

I am guy and have planned to buy a BMW Z4, but all my friends say that this is a girly car and people would laugh at me, what do you think???

I've only seen one chick ever driving a Z4 and it was purple. Of course it isn't a "woman's" car. A car can't be gender specific. The Z4 is fast, sporty, fun, and handles great. You won't be disappointed if you get one. And for pity's sake don't get an automatic! A BMW sports car deserves a manual tranny or else all the fun is sucked out of it.

Why doesn't Jaguar build a small sports car? A BMW Z4/ Porshe Boxster rival?

Surely that's just the thing to raise the companies profile and image out of being an old man's car. Currently, jaguar produces some of the best looking, best handling cars in their classes, imagine what they could produce.

the x-type will will be next on jaguars agenda to replace, so dont expect anything before that. jaguar has just been taken over by tata, so they might pump a bit of cash into the brand. first they need to start turning over a healthy profit.
