i have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 extended cab. i also have a newborn, and i am wondering how if possible i can put a car seat in the truck, because the back seat isnt very big and when the car seat is back there, the front seat won't go back to seating position because the car seat is in the way. Is there a special place or anything special i should do to make it fit?

What are car seat laws in california for a 2005 dodge ram?

I have a 2005 dodge ram w/o the back seat and plan on going on a 7 hr trip. My daughter is 3 years old and about 35 - 40 lbs. The middle seat in the truck is small and she seems to fit it fine. But I was wondering with a truck do I need to find a way to put her big car seat in there? Does anyone know the laws for a car seat in CA for a truck?
