Why does my ford focus car key copy not work?

I had my Ford Focus car key copied yesterday and it won't open the car. Does anybody know why this might be and how I can solve it?

have had this happen to me - frustrating isn't it. sometimes if you wiggle it a bit it will work however the best thing is to take it back to where you got it cut and get them to check it. sometimes it can be just the slightest bit out either not cut deep enough, or sometimes missing a bit. this is not the fault of the company just one of those things. the cutting machine and keys are really temperamental. when you get it back try it immediately and if it still doesn't work take it back and so on and so on.

good luck. usually works the second time.

How do i get another key made for my ford focus car?

Can i just take it to a key making shop or do i need to go to ford? I need a spare key due to locking my keys in the car yesterday and having to call the AA!

If you want a key just to unlock the car you can go and get one from walmart or the dealer can cut a door key that is less than a full coded key. If you want one that will start the car then you have to go to the dealer. .

I am trying to buy a car, Ford Focus 2002 120K miles or Altima 2000 with 141K miles?

I kind of preffer the Altima. Because I think is a longer lasting car when compared with a Ford Focus. The altima has a lot of space im the back. And it looks very confortable.

Which one do you recommend?

perferably i would choose the altima. they are very reliable,good lookin, easy on gas and powerful for the engine that is in it. just cause it has 141,000 miles definately doesnt mean that its gonna poop any time soon. just make sure that you have it undercoated cause the engines last forever it seems but the bodies rust a little easier.
you can never rely on a ford to last as long...in the engine or on the body.
