I just bought a '03 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6....was it a good choice ...
Volcom,
The V6 Tiburon is certainly a notable tuner car. It's not gonna have the reinforcing of a Honda Community but you have a lot of options. You should always start by release up the brim of air through the locomotive. Add a catback empty, then headers, then intake in that ready (dead air intake will be haler). That's fetching much the model first few improvements anybody makes. That will give you a righteous enlargement in torque and power throughout the rpm sort, I would deem around 15-25 horsepower. Once this is done, you can wager with the computer and sunny be alert to the air/combustible relationship. This is a solid categorize to start.
After these parts, I would upgrade the brakes and delay.
Im buying a 1999 Hyundai Tiburon that is painted all chameleon. The hood is damaged and i'm buying a new hood and replacing it. I will be painting the hood chameleon color. How do i apply this type of paint so that the engine dosen't peel my paint. Should I take it to a shop to get done? I know its going to be expensive!! Cheaper than getting the whole car repainted though!
Yes take it to the shop ! it is a very hard paint with many steps to spray.

what is a better first car a Hyundai Tiburon or a hyundai elantra?
im 17 and im buying my first car with my own money
I bought a 2000 tiburon two years ago. I have only had one problem with it, but that was because of the previous owners stupidity. Other than that it has been reliable and has never let me down. I have added a few modifications and I get compliments all the time.
Now, Hyundai's in general are very good cars so personally I would say that you can't go wrong with either car. In fact the older model Tiburons have the same engine as the Elantra. This is actually my only complaint with the Tiburon. The 4 cylinder engine in the Tiburon (and Elantra) is not all that large, sometimes I wish it had more power, but the engine is adequate and the fuel consumption is very good. I get about 30 MPG.
Although, all Tiburons 2003 and up were sold with the option of the 4-cylinder or the 6-cylinder (if your looking at a 2003 and above I recomend the 6-cyl.)
To address your question: I would buy the Tiburon, the tiburon will have a higher resale value because there are many people who have a special affinity for them (there is a niche market) so it will be worth more than an elentra if you decide you want to sell it. In addition the styling is far and away better on the Tiburon. If you decide you want to modify your car, there are many more parts for tiburons. I have a done a few mods, and I love having people complement my car...this won't happen if you get an elantra. Even though aestheticcs are secondary, you should atleast like your first car and be proud of it...(you will never have another first car!) Perhaps the only downside to the tiburon is the insurance, it will probably be a tad higher than the elantra's...but your insurance premiums are going to sky-high ANYWAYS (because you are a 17 yr old).
All in all I would recomend the Tiburon but really you wont go wrong with either Hyundai. When you decide what you want, just make sure to go to a reputable dealer and ask for carfax report (this will ensure that you get a car that hasn't been driven to hell and back!)
Good Luck
