which is better Lexus SUV is better GX 470 or Lexus RX 400h?
I plan on purchasing my dream car which is a Lexus in the near future..(hopefully gas prices will be down by then). I am looking for a SUV so whats the best one out of these 2?
Two different types of vehicles. The GX is built on a truck chassis and the RX is built on an automobile chassis. Two different types of ride. The RX is more auto like and the GX, while a nice ride (I had one) is a bit more like a truck. It's cousin is used off road world wide. Both luxurious. If you are worried about gas mileage go for the RX400h. I have a GS450h so it has lots of power (a V8's worth) but sips gas like a V6. The RX is similar: a V6 (3.5L) coupled with two electric motors. Lots of instantaneous torque and a nice ride and (relatively) good gas mileage. True, there is a premium for the hybrid but at today's gas prices it doesn't take nearly as long to erase.

towing a boat from a 2008 Lexus GX 470???
Our family just bought a Sea Ray 185 Sport boat, (weighs 3000 pounds with trailer), and my mom has a 2008 Lexus GX 470. When she pulls it, does she need to be in some other sort of drive (4 wheel etc.) besides the normal one?
No the lexus can handle the weight with it's normal gears, but make sure that the hitch you have istalled is attached to the frame of the vehicle, not just bolted through the pan. It should be a class III , Good luck!
