Everything about the car audio is stock. I want to add better quality bass. Subwoofer? What do I need to know about adding a subwoofer and better sound?

Luxury cars have changed their audio format over the past decade. Instead of the radio and preamp being in one unit in the dash they are using the on-board computer as the radio and amp. Usually what you think is the radio in your dash (now-a-days) is really a command screen connected to the cars computer.

What's more classy and prestigious: Land Rover or Lexus?

I'm talkin Lexus SUV's. The Lexus LX is a beast of a car, and the GX and RX are cool. Land Rovers are da bomb with the LR3 and Range Rover Sport. Whatcha think?

Just my two cents, but Lexus is like a grown up Honda to me...which is probably why there are so many of them on the road...they appeal to everone in a generic sort of way.

Land Rovers dare to be different and when you drive the Range Rover Sport or LR3 you are going to get noticed. The Sport looks like its moving fast even when its parked and the LR3 can beat up just about every car off road.

Lexus may have street cred with the people who want to purchase style, but those who have it already choose Land Rovers.

I am currently 19 years old and am thinking about buying between a 1999 and 2001 Lexus LX suv. Advice?

Hi guys, my name is Sam, and I am currently 19 years old, but when I am 20 years old i will be purchasing my first car. I am truly thinking about buying a Lexus LX between a 1999 and a 2001 year model. I'll be paying cash for it as I am saving up my money from working. Iam still saving, but should be getting it in September at the latest, July at the earliest. I just wanna save as much money as possible. I know that it may have over 100,000 miles on it, buy I really want one. I have also read where they hold up very well mechanically, and are very safe suvs. So what do you guys think. Also since i will be 20 yrs old when I buy my first car how much will my insurance be. I am in the state of Louisiana. My car will be paid for cash when I by it. Could I get my bill of sale in my name only, and could I get it taxed, titled, registered, licensed, and insured in my name only since it will be my car? Thanks guys and please let me know. Thanks

Save money...flat out buy a different car like a toyota or lexus Rx. BUT if your heart is set on this car then you have some choices. You have done good research and yes, the car will proably have 100K+ on it and yes very reliable. Are you driving right now, if so what kind of car? This LX is a Baheemuth, Gigantore! Its big, heavy, and in some cases a HORRIBLE first car. If this is your first car then insurance may be as much as if you were16 but it could be cheaper. I have heard that payaing cahs you dont need to show proof of insurance.

For guy like you my only suggestion is do you really need that car? There are so many that are under 20K...Have you calculated in the horrible gas mileage and the premium gas. My grandparents both have early 90's LS(We have two of them) and they are gigantic and drive like a battle ship. They do move if you need them to but you can see the green pieces of your cash flying out the exaust.
