Which should I get as my 1st car Mitsubishi 2006 Lancer Evolution MR and 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 Grand Touring?
Which car is more rare. Which car has the better resale value. Which car will cause heads to turn. Which looks better. Which has better reliability. Which car will I have more fun in driving.
Thankx people!
It depends what you want people to think of you as. I assume your a teenager, in which case many people will turn to look at you and think of you a spoiled kit. Not a good high school niche to fit into, unless your paying for it yourself.
otherwise just go with the evo, sporty car, turbo v4, fun car to drive

How can a 19 year old rent a performance car such as a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution?
I've always wanted to test drive an Evo, but I know that showing up at a Mitsubishi dealership claiming to "buy one" and requesting for a test drive isn't the best idea.
I wouldn't mind paying money; I'd just like to spend a few days driving an Evo to feel first-hand all the comments about the car. Because I'm 19, am I too young to rent a vehicle, especially a performance car? Also how much would it cost to rent for say, a week, or a month?
I believe the only place where you would get a rental of any kind at 19 is in New York state. There, it is illegal to deny someone a rental as long as they are a legal adult (so, age 18) but that doesn't mean they can't slap you with a HUGE daily premium on the regular rental rate. I looked into it, and even for an economy car the rates were ridiculous.
(I was visiting family in Connecticut and considering flying into La Guardia or Islip in New York specifically so I could rent a car, as I'm also 19, but as I said - Insane daily premiums make it an impossibility for anyone but the exceedingly wealthy.)
Also, renting a Lancer Evo would be like renting an exotic, and I'm sure that they are allowed to put age limits on those sorts of things (if you could even find a place that has one available to rent).
Your situation sounds like the sort of thing where you need your richest relative to pay for one of those exotic drive weekends (for when you turn 21) where they put you up in a hotel and let you drive late model sports cars on a race track and around some country back roads - I'm sure there is a program like that specifically for Japanese factory tuners that would, in a couple of years, maybe include an old Evo, the new Evo, the new Nissan Skyline GT-R, etc.
Best of luck, and I hope you prove me wrong, but unless you're a trust fund baby, I don't think you'll have any luck getting behind the wheel of an Evo anytime soon. Even dealerships put age limits on test drives of limited production sports cars like the Lancer Evolution - probably 21, unless you know the owner or something like that.
I'm an avid car shopper, so I'm familiar with a lot of the dealers in my area, and they've been very lenient - often allowing me to test drive cars without a salesman to accompany me once they see that I'm not there to abuse their products. It may seem sleazy, but if you're really interested, it might pay to stop by the dealership and get to know someone there - just be up front with them, so they know you're not going to buy, and don't bother them if they're busy. Car salesmen get a bad rap, but I've met a lot of upstanding guys at some of these dealerships that probably hate my guts for wasting their time, but never said it to my face, because I was always very courteous when I did it.
Take care!

Is the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution a fun to drive car?
I found a good deal on a 06 Evo 9. How does it handle and accelerate? Thanks!
If you think it's a good deal, go for it! Some people are getting rid of their Evos because it's not exactly fuel efficient. Others, the family is just expanding and the Evo is just not the right car anymore. So buy it and own it! Get into it not expecting a very comfortable ride. That aspect is easily ignored once your foot hits the pedal. The car is quick right off the bat. It can blow most cars away. And by most cars meaning, not quite against cars like the new M3's and the C63 AMG's. But hey, the Evo costs half of these cars. The money you save, you can use for upgrades and then blow these cars away the second time around. Either or, you're still ahead of the game. Not only is it quick, I've driven the car from San Francisco to Seattle, and it's fun tossing the car around the bends up the mountains of Oregon. I drove up to Mount Diablo as well and that was so rewarding. But let me tell you, it's so worth owning one of the greatest cars around.

Which car is better 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution XI MR or 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 Grand Touring?
Which is faster? Which has a better resale value? In which car will you have more fun in? I'm thinkin bout getting bout getting one. Thanks!
And I want it to be rare like nobody else having one.
Accelartion and performance mods, go with the EVO, there SO MANY performance mods for the evo its insane. The mazda is quick for its type, but the EVO will still smash on it, just overall. Gas wise the speed 6 might get a little bit better gas mileage, depending on the driver. Also people tend to shy away from the rally and drift capabilites of the evo, any mazda cant do that (well maybe some drift, but none that can rally to my knowledge). If you want power go for the EVO MR FQ 400..i think in europe, 420 bhp STOCK..but to summarize this,
it would be original to race around in the speed 6, but for pure performance the evo will rise.
