Is it possible to increase mileage on new car-2006 Nissan Murano only gets 17-18 mpg-highway?
In city, it's only getting as low as 7mpg up to 12 (it has a monitor that gives averages), and highway, it's gone up to 19. The sales stats say it should avg 25mpg. It's a new car, so may be limited as to what I can do that would not violate manufacture's standards. My old 94 Nissan Maxima at 171k miles was still getting 23-25 mpg; most on highway roads.

You should probably check oil, tires, etc. But keep in mind that the stats at the dealership are somewhat fudged. They are usually a couple miles off from actual conditions. The mpg at the dealership is given for the best possible conditions. Your car may get less mpg since it is wintertime.

Car Audio Help for Nissan Murano?
i have a 2003 nissan murano and i cant find a in dash deck that is a multi cd changer and ipod compatible that fits my car. any help?
Pioneer makes a 6 disc in dash DVD/CD changer. The part number is
AVH-P6000DVD, it is also IPOD compatible (part number is CD-IU50). If I remember correctly there is no dash kit available for a Murano but it is a pretty easy kit to make without remolding the whole dash bezel even for a double din. It should just be a little wood and paint or some ABS. The factory radiio should be standard double din brackets and a regular Nissan harness (Metra part number 70-7550). Although the screen at the top of the dash for A/C controls I believe runs through the factory radio for power so you may need to do some fancy wiring to figure out how to power that up or relocate the factory radio elsewhere in the car.

I need general opinion about nissan murano,characteristic of that car,models for 2003,2004,and if you have some advice,shoud i buy some other car,in that range of money,15000$.I plan to buy that car in america so if you have some advice i whould like to hear...?
Personally, it's more sport than utility... but that's a good thing. the v-6 moves it with authority! and it's built off of the same platform used to build the Nissan Altima/Maxima and 350Z cars...not to mention the Infinity cars made by Nissan...
I just bought a 08 Chevy Equinox LT and i must say although it is not as fast or sporty as a Nissan Murano, it has lots more room more so for the rear seat...and cargo hold... i really like my Equinox and it is well worth a look. too.
