Which car is better Nissan Pathfinder or Ford Explorer?
I'm looking to buy a used car, 1996 to 2000, and I was wondering which one of these cars is better. Ford Explorer or Nissan Pathfinder, Such as which engine last longer, and which car has a longer lifetime in terms of how many miles it has on it. Thank you for answering.
Personally, I'd go with the Nissan...ford people will say the explorer...depends on a persons experience with each make/model.
Owned 2 fords, both fell apart long before they should have, was always maintaining, relatives owned fords, same thing, brother works for a ford dealer and only drives them because they are demos for him...he changes demos like he changes socks and they are always in for servicing...owned 2 nissans, one a truck the other a car...absolutely no additional maintenance on either. Truck was a real work horse and motor was excellent, had over 300,000 on it.
Just bought the car last Aug and thus far it's maintenance free and we're expecting to buy a new one again this year or next...definitely a nissan. But...there are lemons in all makes so just ensure you get a good mechanic to check it over before purchasing...

is nissan pathfinder a good teen car?
I just got my license and I'm looking for a good car. Is the nissan pathfinder a good car. I was looking at a 2003-05 models...what are some other cars that are good for teens? They need to be really safe or else my parents wont get it, but I also want it to look like a teen car. Best answer for most detailed response. Thanks!
No not really. Like others have mentioned, they roll easier. I'm going to assume that you will be the one putting the gas into this rig, so expect to get relatively poor gas mileage, 15 mpg or so. A typical car will get 20 easily. Take a look at some Hyundai Tiburons. They are very sporty, and Hyundais, from personal experience, are safe vehicles. Chevy Cobalts and the Pontiac G6 are also nice cars, but are still new. But ultimately, I suggest staying away from those gas-guzzling three letters: S-U-V
