Avoidable Contact #27: The end, and the beginning, of great Japanese cars.
I think back on the things turned out as if it were yesterday, although in accomplishment it was twenty-six years ago. My undeviating, Rommel-esque push to get my nourisher into a 1983 Honda Community 1500S had very close to reached a flourishing end. For months I had worked tirelessly to direct Mom towards a Honda dealership for our new “m car”, always with the ostensible and alert to aim of purchasing the $6,995 1500GL wagon. Once we were in prison the doors of the dealership — doors I had himself darkened many a ever before then, since it was only a four-mile desert each way from my domicile — it would be a understandable import of trap-and-switching her somewhere else from the wagon and into a glittering red 1500S hatchback. I’d walked to the showroom the day before and verified the spectre of one, priced at a pouring $6,495.
As disposition would have it, however, the red 1500S had sold, leaving precisely a nefarious one close by. (The 1983 Urban 1500S, the only Community of that institution to drive the “S” tag, was at one's disposal in justifiable two colors: threatening and red.) No upset: we’d take it. In by the skin of one's teeth a few just about snivelling moments, I convinced her that the 141-inch elongated, two-entry hatchback was an paragon car for a solitary progenitrix and two rising boys. The sales boss, displaying the V disdain niggardliness that is still a device of Honda dealers today, sanctioned us to buy the car at sticker. Providing, that is, we would pay an extra $349 for a two-tub-thumper record sportswoman and $99 for a worthless cassette class.
That Public was a certainly enormous car. Economizing, sharp enough, informal-looking, bulletproof, fun. It indubitably would have lasted my progenitrix a decade or more, had she not been struck hardly two years after the purchasing by a tipsy driver in Cadillac deVille. The import put parts of the back instate into the front seats. Hondas were not wonderful drive-protected into those duration.
Still, the ‘83 Public was the nicest Public in adventures up to that sharp end. The ‘84 “breadvan” Public was more wisely. Much cured. The Public that followed was even ameliorate, and so on, until we reached the apposite indicate of the 1999 Urban Si coupe, substantially established as close to everyone’s partiality Community. And then a curious element happened.
does anyone know the cheapest way to get a copy of a computerized car key? nissan titan to be exact.?
i've called the car dealership and they want me to have the truck towed to the dealership and then they'll program another key. but that seems ridiculous, so there has to be another way to do that. i'm in houston, if that helps any.
It may be ridiculous, but consider the alternative; paying a mechanic to drive to the vehicle and then back to the shop for the programmer and cutting the key, and then back to your truck. Very expensive.
YOU lost the key, and you can't expect Nissan or the dealer to cover the cost of replacement.
Call and ask if you can accomplish the replacement with the VIN. They probably can if all that is needed is a chipped key and having it cut.
If PROGRAMMING is necessary, the vehicle will have to be at the shop!
Sorry for your predicament.
Good Luck

baby car seats that fit a Nissan Titan 2005?
Any car seat will fit into any car. What you need to know is if the car seat uses the teather system. This is the system of hooks that attach to the metal hooks in the back seat of the truck. Much more stable then using the seat belts.
