I need a car, A$25-30k, leather seat/5d hatch. Do I buy new car ie Subaru Impreza or used ie an Alpha or BMW?

I need to buy a new car and I want to spend A$25-30 on it. I don't know if I'm better off with an European luxury car that's 2-3 years old or a brand new Japanese car for the same money. I would like to keep it for at least 5 years, for it to be reliable and fuss free and not spend too much money on maintainence during this time. I'm not fussy with the make but it does have to be a hatch and have leather seats because of the family dog and the work I do. I like the 2007 luxury edition Subaru Impreza and the 2004 Alpha 147 but I really don't know! It's for mostly city driving with the odd short country trip. Advice needed!! Thanks

Their all good cars. If you go brand new you get warranty and dont have to worry about maintenance. Even a use BWM wont give you problems but can be costly if you encounter problems. Check out the 07 Audi A3 2.0T. Its good on gas, has leather seats and is a 5door hatch. Go to Autotrader.com and when you search, you can simplify your search by trim. How much would a Subaru Impreza WRX Rally Car cost?

You can get a complete replica body kit from L'aunsport in Japan in both wise body and non including the big spoiler with all the fins. But they make their kits to order so it's a lot of money. Last I looked I think it was something close to $15,000 for the complete wide body kit. You should google them and check it out. The kits are very high quality.

is the subaru impreza a reliable car?

I am planing to buy a car in the next month and I am considring a 2004 or 2005 impreza or a honda civic ??? any suggestion or comments !!!!

I own a 2003 WRX, it has 63,000 on it right now, and I'm a Subaru Factory Trained Tech. Most of the Impreza's I see in the shop are just in for regular maintenance.

AWD in the snow is the best, vs a lightweight FWD civic. Nothing wrong with civics either, depends on what you need it for. My WRX fit's 4 people fairly well, and it's still got enough power to move all four people.
